As a multimedia journalist, I am well aware of the changes taking place in the field of journalism. It is essential to be able to write for all mediums. My passion for writing has been the fuel driving me toward succeeding in the wonderful world of journalism.
With 4 years of newsroom experience, I am confident in my ability to write, shoot, edit and present stories on the air in a timely, clear and concise fashion.
Currently, I am a production assistant at WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond, VA. There, I began as an intern and was quickly promoted to floor director. I work on the live Virginia This Morning show, the CBS 6 News at Noon, and the Virgina Lottery mid-day drawing shows.
My previous experience includes working as a one man band reporter/anchor for the VCU Insight show, which aired on PBS. Prior to that, I was a production assistant and writer for the Today Show at Howard University in Washington , DC.
I am presently seeking a job where I can utilize my creativity, journalistic integrity, and compelling story-telling skills.
